The intentions of this group are: insight, connection, and support.
During each session, we will discuss the narrative, symbolism, and personal and group connections to the Major Arcana Tarot cards. Each participant will also create their own version of the discussed cards using the art materials of their choice. At the end of the group, each participant will have 22 Major Arcana cards they created.
The first week, our goal will be to connect with and build trust within the group, go over group agreements, set intentions, and start with card “0”, The Fool.
Weeks 2 through 11, we will start with a check-in, and explore the next two Major Arcana cards.
The final week, we will end with the last card, “The World.” We will spend some time processing the full experience together, and closing with each other.

Absolutely not! There are no art skills or prior experience required to participate. In art therapy, we focus on and honor the process of art making rather than just the product or outcome.
-
You will need 22 small pieces of paper, one for each of the Major Arcana cards. I suggest using paper that is a bit thicker, such as cardstock or multimedia art paper. You can cut or rip paper into a card-sized piece, or start with something like index cards. You can even reuse materials you have on hand like recycled cardboard.
You will also need some kind of material to create on the paper. This is totally up to you, and what you have! You can draw, paint, collage, use pastels - whatever you’d like. I suggest having a writing utensil like a pencil, pen, or marker to be able to label each card.
If you have any questions or concerns about art materials, please let me know!

To support a safe, connected, and healing group therapy experience, clients are asked to attend all twelve (12) consecutive weeks of the group, with the exception of illness or unexpected emergencies.
Because space is limited, I kindly ask that clients honor their full twelve-week commitment. Reserving a spot means that space is no longer available to others. For this reason, clients are responsible for payment for all twelve sessions, regardless of attendance. Sessions will be charged weekly, unless otherwise arranged. If you’d like to pay the total amount up front instead, please let me know.
I understand that life can be unpredictable. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out. While I am unable to reduce fees or offer make-up sessions due to the nature of the group format, I am happy to provide information on the missed cards so you can still complete them.
